I never actually used it, GH.  I just thought I could make my own version and flog it to the member on the forums - not go public or anything. It might e copyrighted.

No, I decided it wasn't worth it - for the amount of water it 'saves', I could be doing other things, and I always have plenty of water over at the end of the day anyway.

I've just watched the video for the first time, got to say the Harris pole looks awful. Far too bendy, far to rattley couldn't stand to use that all day.

And if you need to work that fast your prices are too low.

So have I and I agree, its got to be a joke...hasn't it.  :o think I'll stick with my Facelift poles thanks.

Also the method leaves a lot to be desired, brush head resting on the grass then touching the  brickwork then straight on the glass. Looks like the guys running around not quite in full control. All looks a bit ameteurish to me.  ;)

You haven't been here for a whiles, have you Mick?  Last march in fact.

That aside, does the Harris pole, and Groundhog, achieve the desired results without scratching the glass or anything?

Seems that he does, at least he hasn't said anything about complaints.

No.
I dont know, its certainly not good practice to rest the brush head on the floor/wall then straight on the glass, god knows what contamination is going to get into the brush.
It just does'nt look good to me, dashing about all over the place. There are some good practice guides on here somewhere that could be of use.

Far too much fuss made about contamination, Have you noticed the muck that collects on your brush from some sills, not to mention the amount of dirt that comes off some dog owners patio doors, some are caked in mud.
The job turns out right in the end though.

I was not working at full speed in any of the videos, I was simply demonstrating the Harris pole. As for my prices, I charge more than any other window cleaner in my area, my target every day is to earn the maximum amount that I can, I do this by charging the highest amount that  the market will allow, I work as quickly and efficiently as I can, and I keep my costs to a minimum.

The harris pole is a brilliant piece of kit, and it only costs £15!!! Don't knock it until you have tried it!  ;)

Thanks for the support Dai, I have got a pile of letters at home thanking me for the great job that I do from customers, so I must be doing something right!  :)

I posted the video's to help other members of the forum, and to prove that the £15 Harris pole could be used as a wfp pole. If all you can do is criticise, at least have the guts to post a video of your own to show us all how it should be done!!!!  >:

Hi Jeff,

I have been full time window cleaning for about 5 years Jeff, but I had been window cleaning part time for 8 years before taking the plunge to full time.  :)

Nice to see a return to some good old-fashioned bickering!

:)

This thread has been one of the best I have ever read - everyone should read it. That's not saying the Harris pole is the best, it might be depepending on who you are, just that the thread is a good un as it's so imformitive.

Yes you uploaded a video, and I posted my comments/views of that video. If all you want is people to stroke your ego then dont post it on an open forum. It may be good enough for you  :o
