Afternoon all,

I've been offered a job today to clean metal cladding office , it has trees around it and it has a lot of green on it.
Will TFR spoil the metal work?
Or is there another way to do it?
It is quite sticky too

Good old fashioned bleach,sprayed on left,then jetted off,should do the trick,and its not as nasty as TFR.

We better stop putting bleach down our drains and toilets seeing as its so nasty,and doesnt bleach ,including  green algae.TFR CONTAINS nice safe phosphoric acid .But its best if you dont get it on your hands undiluted.Just power jet the job to blazes,you
will get filthy But get job done,no nasty chemicals,everyone is safe and happy.

So you get on your high horse about phosphoric acid ? so what does cola contain then and people drink that !!!!!  bleach is banned on many sites. we are not talking about using neat chemicals but diluted correctly make the cleaning task easier. I agree about using WFP and pure water but if the cladding is bad it will take a while and is best done during a rainy spell but IMO TFR is the easiest way of doing it. We are talking about removing the green not bleaching it to a neutral colour

I alway try to use wfp (not pure water for cladding) with a cladding brush, if that fails I prefer to use a pressure washer again without chemicals.  Chemicals should be considered a last resort in this day and age, Why go to the expense of chemicals if you just don't need them?  Don't get me wrong sometimes they are required but try the alternatives first

The amount of phosphoric acid in coke is no where near as much as contained in TFR.TFR is a great product,but is corrosive,bleach is great on green algae especially patios.But as you say they can both be nasty if your not protected.The thing is that thick bleach contains not only sodium hypochlorite,but also sodium hydroxide,which eats aluminium and zinc.So if you get it on you neutralize with some dilute fibre and fabric rinse.ps.I havnt got a horse.

bleach is a pretty safe chemical when used on its own but the reason it is banned in a lot of places is if it is mixed by accident with many other cleaning chemicals in the toilet bowl it can cause a gas that can be fatal.

You can get traffic film remover from most car valeting suppliers,but I get mine from jk cleaning suppliers,in pype hayes erdington.Get in on and off as quick as you can,you can neutralize it with a high alkaline cleaner such as prochem traffic.Make sure you remove every little bit.They use this to clean alloy wheels.

Safer than high or low pressure water...I think not

My original message said that it is sticky so I think high pressure water just will not be enough
