Keeping Motivated
« on: May 22, 2008, 11:01:55 pm »
I would like to hear what keeps you motivated ?

This is a mind numbing, monotonous, tedious  job...

I know it's very good pay and your, your own boss (if you are!)

I would just like to hear what keeps you going (apart from money!)  ::)

i have moments when motivation is hard but i feel the busier you get and the more motivation isnt needed(if that makes sense).

making targets and aiming high helps too.

I, for one, would never laugh. But for me it's ... errr ... Handel's Water-fed pole Music

Sorry.

When working on big houses in out of the way places where I can leave the van open, I have Classic fm blasting out.

Sometimes it just has to stop though. Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A just sends me into such rapture that I'm useless for an hour afterwards.

I did a couple of weeks temping in a factory where Radio 1 was blaring out all day. Might suit some. Didn't suit me.

Window cleaning suits me and that is the motivating factor. I can be myself, I can set my own standards of everything and (as long as I please my customers) I can please myself.

And if I want to listen to Clasical music, I can.

As I said, it's Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A. When I'm in the mood, it can have the tears streaming down my face in sheer joy at emotion it brings out in me.

Bach can get to me at times, especially his violin works.

And Einaudi makes me want to self-immolate!!!!
