Chewing gum remover
« on: May 10, 2008, 02:29:56 pm »
Have been offered one of these -  on Ebay  280215551565   - today for £100 but I was wondering are they actually any good I don't want to buy it if its no good.

Sorry but I could not get the link to work

Also do they work with just cold water or does it have to be hot ?

Hi

Biggest pile of pants I have ever used, do not touch with a barge pole.

The only people who say they are any good are those who have parted with cash for them (wouldn't admit to making a mistake now would they!)

I trialed one on a big job and it was an absolute nightmare, only collects half of the gum it removes and emptying it is a pain.

Only works with hot water (I use the term 'works' lightly).

Why do you think the person is selling it so cheap... no-one wants it!

Best using a normal lance on low pressure with temperature turned right up.

Not sure if this is valid but i am put off by the constant on and off in the operating of this, I would think it puts alot of wear on your pump running in bypass unless there is something ive overlooked.
