You need to find what it was sealed with, acylic will lift with xylene and polyurethene with paint stripper and jetwash. why do you need to remove the existing sealer ? you just need to correctly identify it and if its xylene just clean it and reseal and if its polyurethene abrade it, clean and reseal.

am going to see driveway tonight. the customer said the drive as been down since june last year and the sealer is coming off and the cars are leaving tyre marks and its faded. he said to me it looks and as been told the driveway needs striping.

i was thinking of using my hot washer on it?

Mark, don't strip it! If the fading as you call it is white like the concrete is showing through, then chuck a bucket of water on the white bits. If it goes back to origonal clour when wet it just needs resealing
I'm always in the poo, it's just the depth that varies

Resiblock reccomend a belt sander but I found better results with a slow speed rotary with a wire cup drive board, them wash and reseal as normal
