I always use safety glasses (goggles steam up) when using the lance but not always when using the fsc. Imo its pretty unlikely for anything to kick up to eye level when using a fsc, but i suppose its not impossible!

yeah, i've never really bothered wearing anything before but i think i might start doing so because i was thinking that it only takes one stone to go in your eye for it to do some serious damage.

I have been hit just above the eye (bruised it) from a stone and also had plenty of grit from using the lance in corners, if i were you i would start using something.

You only get two chances to make this mistake!

I never bothered using any, but a couple of months ago I was removing paint from an exterior staircase and a small piece of paint lodged under my eyelid. I had to go to hospital to get it removed.
It was driving me CRAZY! I couldn't open my eye.

Now I always wear safety glasses :)
