Drove past a guy with a pole cleaning windows today. The thing is he had a scrim tied around the end and was scrubbing away. Anyone tried this method?

There is a woman in my area who does this, she just uses a soap y cloth on a decorators pole and squeegies it off, to be honest the windows do come up well, but not as good as I would get them, Luke

Its a pretty poor method to be honest, i have lost a couple of customers in my time who have decided to clean there own windows with a pole, the novelty soon wears off.

i used to do a few hard to reach windows like it on my estate

i cut down a mop and Sqeegee and would do them like that

I used to do a load of dormer bungalows like that, it was a time consuming pain, not sure why anyone would want to do there whole house like that must be nuts!!

Finish on them is no way near as good as wfp.

 i occasinally wash with trad pole then squeegie then wrap scrim round to detail and get any lines on awkward windows it can be done but it is the reason i switched to wfp. but saying that i got quite good at it and never had complaints

I've thought about this.

The plan is to use a microfibre wrapped around a 10" T bar on the end of a 12' extension pole to clean up any runs etc after the wfp'd windows have dried. I haven't had occasion to do it yet, but I've tried it on my windows at home and it works a treat.

It seems a lot less effort than a complete re-wash and the accompanying cleaning drips on windows below.

this is nothing i saw some old timer w/c up a ladder with a hand held spray gun washing windows down with pure water!

y not squeegy if your gonna climbe the ladder?
