4040 booster pump
« on: May 01, 2008, 11:43:20 am »
I have just bought a 4040 inch system and now looking for a booster pump to set it up with.

i have heard alot of people using this pump below

www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cbm240e-1in-multi-stage-230v-booster-pum

is that a good enuf pump to boost the water for 4040 RO ? theres also another one without the electronic control unit

www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cbm240-1in-multi-stage-water-pump

which one would you say was best to get?
Dave.

Hi Dave,

What psi do you get from your water mate?

Go for the first one.  It's worth the extra peace of mind to have electronic sensor which will safely stop the pump if the water stops flowing for some reason, or you forget to turn the water on first it will prevent dry run damage.
Mine's nearly 3 years old, very quiet running, they don't go wrong!

Mines 50psi, just wondering mate. I've been thinking of getting a bigger Ro but then I found that I can get a conversion kit to take mine from 100 to 300 a day but I think I will have to up my pressure for it to work.

You'll need adaptors.
Speak to MachineMart or wait till you get one and go to ironmongers with it/measurements
