when doing this how far from the glass do you hold the brush, also when doing this do you hope that both water meets on the glass and runs down the window together or do you get 2 sperate run downs, hope this makes sense.

I mainly rinse on the glass but on downstairs windows a lot of the time i rinse off and hold the brush about an inch off the glass.

Be safer to rinse off on first cleans. I allways rinse off but this is my preference.
Not an exact science. Just give windows a good scrub with the brush to loosen the dirt and rinse to wash it all off.

On subsequent cleans you should be able to use less water and may be able to rinse on esp. if they are monthly but on the first clean will want to be more thorough and could be a good idea to wash the frame, esp. the top.

as near to the glass as you can it takes practice.

seperate run downs will depend on the glass you are cleaning sheeting or beading glass also your flow rate makes a difference use more water to start with more is defo better than less when you are starting out.

as it says, when the water hits the glass it looks like beads and does not give a sheet of water. (little balls of water= beading)

Does this happen when certain chemicals have been used on glass in past as i done van windows and windscreen sheeted as nothing been used in past but side glass doesnt do this.

i do this as well as close to winder as pos find it a lot better than inch or so off windws especially on beading windows(phobic) ;)hope this helps

Just been back out and done windows as there was spotting when dry and rinsed off as close to glass as poss and now come up spotless, so just done inside and no not with WFP.

so between me and windowwashers you have learned a valuble trick hope it helps and we have only been wfp for about 7 months is this wright ian but you will learn many more tricks as you go on jakie

Just checked the kitchen window and its terrible, its a badly painted door so i believe this maybe the reason as the rest of the house is spotless.

tell me how you are cleaning with wfp also i know you have a new machine is the water 000 tds check it as it may not be thats the first thing you should do if any probs

Yer sorry M.B.S didnt realise you had posted, mate came round water is fine, said its to do with style of door and not to hit top frame when rinsing off on it in future, looks chalked.

that's one of the reasons i rinse close to window to avoid top frame but also find it a lot better to rinse this way .
i had the same prob awhile back on another post it was a painted window advised by others that the paint was oxidized (chalky) eventually it will stop it did after a while .
good luck if your out tomoz happy wfp have some pain killers in for when you get home as your muscles may hurt a bit
