Can you free a Seized Pump?
« on: April 12, 2008, 03:19:55 pm »
Hi everyone.

Got a pump that hasn't been used for a while, a 60pis Flojet.  It has seized up.  It wants to do something, as you can hear it try to work with a click when you turn power on.  Just wondered if there's anything I can do to make it work?

Tried taking it apart, but can't get the bit off the motor with the two paddles.  Tried giving it a whack, no joy, end up trying to prise it off, but broke one of the paddles.  pants

Hit it.  If it breaks it needed replacing anyhow...
