I used to do them by hand because ofd all the soap that comes out.  If I didn't feel like doing them by hand, I took them to the launderette as industrial machines are better equipped to cope than bog standard domestic machines.

Put a bit of hand soap in your washing machine with your scrims that will kill the suds

Wash them daily in warm water with no detergents as their is enough in them from detailing all day then once a month put them on a rinse cycle then into the drier they come out lovely and soft and gentle

when you put your scrims in the washing machne chuck a bar of normal soap palmolive or any soap will do this will kill he suds, at the end of the wash take the bar of soap out and save it til the next wash

i have a twin tub in my garage ,which i use

i still use  scim ,but prefer microfibre now

Wash them on 40 degrees or less , then you wont have a problem.

Been washing 20 a day for the last 10 years, found out years ago when i put them on 90 degrees, nearly flooded the kitchen.

I wash mine at 60 degrees regularly and tumble dry them.

When I first get them I put them in 3 times at 80 before I use them. Helps to break them in a bit.

Use no detergent at all ever with them

I used to puit them in the wash at the highest temp, always come out fine, now used micro fiber if I have to do trad, maybe the odd scrim as a mopping up cloth.
