Just been asked to do a clean of 8 empty warehouse spaces, each is approx 5000ft², they are basically wanting all the floor areas washed with a scrubber/dryer type machine.  The floors are certainly in need of a clean but are not covered in debris or heavily soiled.

What sort of price do people quote for cleaning with this type of machine and what sort of area can you cover in say an hour.  The job is mine, but I want to give them a realistic price as there is probably a lot more work to come from it.

if its any help i quoted £2500.00 for a 72000 sq ft warehouse machine hire a £1000.00 and did not get the job beaten on price !!!!!!! mind you with the kit i was hiring would of done the job within 24hrs

I have got my rate for a day when it comes to commercial industrial work which is 300 per day and i just go from there have an account with the hire station get a good price on equipment , you  have to wait till they want to pay you so any less and its not worth it

40,000 sq ft to clean with a 750mm scrubber dryer, how long would you expect this to take you?

youll eat it in  a day with a ride on mache, the problem you have, is that someone with a ride on, can charge less, as they dont need to hire a mchine, a machine cost will be about £900.

Ian i did a 32000 ft factory with a walk behind scruber twin brush floor was in quite good condition with some oil on it, floor was painted.
I did the job by myself went over the floor twice and it took one day (nine hrs). Machine hire cost was £200 plus one tub of chemical .
If you cant get the hire rate down on price ask for weekend rate should be cheaper.

Been there to measure it today, 9,582m², or 103,000 sq ft!  Bit more that the original phoned in sizes.

Anyway got the job at a good rate for both parties and more importantly there are 17 more units being built and we have been asked to quote for the full build cleans for those.

I have also put my pennith in to see if we can get the window cleaning contract for the whole complex..........if you don't ask you don't get!

Think I might have got this one wrong a bit 

Started it yesterday morning and it's turning into the b8stard of all jobs and the site manager (who's not the one I'm dealing with) is a right pain in the a*se.

There was a window cleaner on site yesterday and he was cleaning a very large office building, which I would have quoted at around the £400 mark, for £90!!!!  It takes him all day using a Thermopure system and he needs the 60' pole to reach the tops, all for £90!!!!

Guess I'll not be getting the window cleaning contract here then.
