Paul,

At the moment I'm not planning on going to the CCDO, however if anything changes I'll try and get a place and come down.  I'm sure it'll be a great day/night for everyone attending with plenty to see and learn.

its about half and half for me cleaning and renting houses however in the long trem the renting will far out perfourm any cleaning as you sit there and watch the houses go up in value for nothing  ;D

thats the way  :D  :D

we have found that house prices treble every 12 years,

even in a recession

good luck

I would have thought more of the guys would have been into carpet retail and fitting. Wonder if thats down to the carpet decline and laminate increase /

Any one finding that rus cleaning is on the increase ? I found last year that I doubled the rug cleans from the year before.

My main business is supplying and installing carpets, laminates and vinyl.
I have been cleaning carpets as a sideline or add-on for 12 years, but I want to build it up to a more substantial side of my business. The knees are taking a hammering after 25 years !

All the trade mags indicate that laminate sales are slowing.

As far as my own experience is concerned, I find people still want laminate in hallways and dining rooms, but lounges and bedrooms are definately shifting back in favour of carpet.

A few income streams but the renting of houses aren't as easy as you may think, there isn't a fool proof way of getting rich without a hiccup along the way. In my houses and flat I've had 2 new roofs, double glazing, 3 new boilers, god knows how many decorators round and new carpets (some paid for by bonds) disputes etc etc OK the price of the property goes up and the tennants pay your the bills but you still have to spot check and see to the poo!

I'd rather go to Tenerife ;D

Paul.

The spinner used in the video is the Turbo Hybrid. We also use the Hydroforce SX-12.

As for getting the grout to look like new. You're right, the customer can never remember until the black grout goes back to grey or brown or white.

Chemicals is a big issue. We are the first to import the machines in Cape Town and there are no speciality chemicals. I am trying al sorts of things with local suppliers but have found that Wetrok Antiwax is about the best.

Jeremy

I also pimp a large number of 'Ho's in the evening. Paradise and Candice bring me in a fair wedge to top up my c.c business.

Carpet and Upholstery cleaning amounts to only 0.3% of my gross profit. Can’t get the business to perform at all.   :(

TV Arial installation, Sky digital installation, Multi points, Retail CCTV design and installation. 99.7% of my gross profit.

We are currently doing a fantastic deal on High Gain Wideband Analogue/Digital TV Aerials, perfect for the digital change over. £189.95 + free fitting + Vat inclusive!
That deal alone collects 12 orders per day (average/based on 5 days) 60 orders and fits per week, grossing £11397.00 per week.
Retail CCTV design and installation really is very lucrative and I take pride in providing the best equipment and after sales back up to any commercial contract. We also sell contracts for 24HR remote access to these systems using our contractor ADT.

We cover quite a few bases;

Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
Hard Floor Cleaning / Sealing
Wooden Floor Waxing
Domestic Cleans (One off or Contracts)
Contract Cleaning
Event Clearance, (Music Concerts etc.)
Vehicle Valeting
Pressure Washing
Gutter / Fascia Cleaning
Some Window Cleaning
Some Pest Control

And will look at other jobs as requested by customers

The 'Tesco' approach, sadly with a lot less profit  ;)
