Hi  All

I let  my wife book the holiday,   i tell her you find the spending money and i will pay for the holiday. All  i do is take £20 per day   which i do put in the books , put the money to one side, away from the wife,  £100 per week, the holiday is paid in no time, the wife can`t work out how i pay for it, even my book-keeper has asked me about my holidays. Im off to Canada next. :)

Credit card guarantees your money if anything goes wrong.

I usually negotiate a deal by phone, then when its time to pay, i refuse to book if they are going to charge me for using a creedit card, they usually yield to this.

Use a reputable agent who is ABTA and ATOL bonded and your money is safe as houses. Brother-in-law booked with Travelscope to the states and it went bump recently and he got every penny back and all with in 3 weeks.

Never book flights via the internet using your main e-mail address. You will get bombarded with adverts and special offers from the airline for the rest of your life. The same applies to people like Screwfix and Machine Mart.

Interesting question. If your bookeeper doesn't know you may not have it right.

Bear in mind you can't say hols cost 2k per annum if your passport has more stamps than a pilot.
