Last job today was a big house where access through the customers house is required ( hose through house )So I phoned up explaining I will be there in 10 mins ( never cleaned the place or met the person, but we were recommended to them ) but she said "today" ( implying I shouldnt do it in the heavy rain ) I replied "yes today"
So I went up to the house and as I got out of the van shes out the door:
Her: Sorry I dont have any cash, I forgot to tell you on the phone
Me: We will leave you a sae
Her:Oh isnt that clever
Me:Yes, we have to do it because people are never in these days
Her:Im just not sure about you cleaning in this rain
Me:Madam, In all my time window cleaning I have never had to stop because of the weather. We dont use detergent, we use pure water, so cleaning in the rain is no problem
Her: Okay, Ill show you the job
So walking into the house she starts again:
Her:You just cant clean in the rain, its crazy
Me:Trust me, it will be fine. Ill give you your money back if it isnt
Her:Well I still think your crazy
Me: Its just an old wifes tale, you cant clean in the rain
Anyway so I clean the front which takes a while as the house is big. So I knock at the door to go through to clean all the back:
Her:All the windows are wet
Me: ( explained all the pure water stuff ) .....go and pour me a glass of water and Ill fetch something from the van, Ive got something to show you
I get the tds meter. Walk into kitchen and show her reading of her tap water, it was 47. I explained that my water measures 000 so it dries spot free.
Anyway I hope this helps some of those people who tend to "loose" customers when they switch over to wfp. This job is a really good paying one and worth the extra 10 mins of time it took to clear her worries, Luke
