I know it is probably a long shot, but I will ask it anyway. Would an industrial invertor power a vac or for that matter an immersion heater fitted in the tank? I was talking to an auto electrician and he told me about a guy who worked two kango hammers off one. He is on holiday at the moment so I cant ask him. Looking foward to your replies.

You would need a bank of batteries to run any high amperaged equipment and it would soon drain the batteries. You would be better off running a generator for electrical equipment.
i.e. to run Omnipole's 240 volt gutter vac, they recommend a 5kw generator I believe they told me.
