Which pole?
« on: March 15, 2008, 10:07:52 am »
Looking to get a new pole, around the 40 - 50 foot mark.
I'm not interested in glass fibre, carbon fibre or hybrids.
I prefer aluminium poles.
I just wanted some feed back on these two.

If you vote, please give a reason for your vote.
Cheers,
Rich ;)

The Powerpole is terrible to operate, twist clamps and it too heavy with big section lengths. The Tucker, same story but with even more annoying pennel clamps, good brush though and both will last well, Luke

the main reason is cost. i can't justify paying nearly a grand for something that i'm only going to use every couple of months.
plus i know that alu will last.
this may be the same with c/f, but i'm not willing to pay another 50% to find out.

I started out with a 36ft powerpole, It was built to last without doubt, but it was horrible to use!!!  :(

Omnipole (power pole) for pressure washing

Tucker pole (with pennel clamps) for window cleaning

SL-2 for flying a kite (on windy days), lol, but seriously if you have a bad back/arms (poor health)
