Got a 2005 Expert normal but always pushing the weight limit. Fuel not good. HDI much better for consumption and weight and speed if u are that way inclined. But obviously more money

Tacky

apart from window cleaning I also run a van hire business so I get to see and hear a lot of the deals that are going around as well as all the problems. Havent heard any on the new dispatches yet, and theres a great deal going at evans halshaw, and the toyota I was on about is the swb 2.8 120bhp with twin side loading doors and twin rear doors

With the Peugot version you pay extra for the name.

Got an 03 Expert HDI and a T30 174BHP transporter.

Expert - great van, love it because its practical, twin sliding doors, 900kg payload, goes reasonably well and still get 35mpg.  Looks a little dated but I can live with that.  Low running costs and galvanised too so won't rust.

Transporter - the best van I've ever been in, I know its expensive but well worth it.  payload I think is 1.5ton and drives beautifully, build quality is second to none and looks fantastic (sportline kit).  Fuel economy is good too at 35-40mpg.

Anyone looking for a van wouldn't be disappointed with either of these vans, especially as both are galvanised making them ideal for wfp (as someone else has already mentioned).  the new experts are meant to be superb also.
I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

Steve m the toyota hiace is £9700 + vat swb & £11300 for lwb.

I,ve just had the swb 120 & it is fantastic. I also run an 03 88bhp swb & this has never let me down. Total running costs are services & 4 new tyres & side door repair, that was our fault.

I,ve ran fiats, but dont trust them like toyota, hoping to order another one before end of march.

Alex

You said you would have the 1.9 a while back

Haing owned the 1.9 for the last few months, i would say it is more than man enough to power a ton up an hill and still accelerate all the way up.

The 2.5 is nice but it would give the staff more opportunity ty waste juice and mess about more. I borrowed one for a couple of days and found it wheel span hell of a lot in the wet, when driving briskly.

If i had the choice again just for myself, i probably would have the 2.5

My van battery is still powering 2 pumps, no problems yet.

I know the 1.9 would be enough, but others I have spoken to say that the 2.5 is even better! It would be for my use so I would get the benefit!

My current vehicle is in having it's MOT. I am not allowed to change vehicles until the old one dies! That's what the missus says.

Just ordered 2ltr hdi 120 proffessional expert L1 H1, for £11,400 plus VAT. Includes full bulk head elec windows and A/Con , blue tooth phone kit.
Extras included in £11,400 - Ply lining (£160) and parking sensors (£150) metallic silver paint £310 got 32.35% off list. Thought would get A/Con etc as when come to sell van in three years time these may well be standard on lots of new vans then, and will make this one easier to sell and hold better price. Used to run expert 2001 plate from new done 130k miles and been very reliable.Got 1300 P/X for it. Did look at contact hire, about £240 month plus vat for 15k miles a year but am flat rate scheme vat reg so cant claim back on contract hire but can on van if purchased.

With the air con the glove box is chilled too, so cold sarnies and coke!

Also run high roof lwb LDV maxus van 3.5T work horse type of van.

give me your e-mail address and I'll see if I can scan it into my PC and send it to you. If you go to evens halshaw they are doing them at that price because they dont have an actual dealership that sell citroens. If you send me 12500 + VAT I' get you the top of the range mwb medium roof 120 bhp relay, and that comes with the six speed gearbox, speed camera alert and full sat-nav. And yes I bought four
