All very nice Vans.

The servicing costs on the Vito are quite high I'm told?

The transporter is prob the nicest to drive, but that bit smaller,...

The Transit is my favorite,.. but by the time I add all the upgrades I want its ££££ more than the Vivaro!!!

Do not get a vito. Ihave one and had nothing but problems, rust easy and way to small.
I have just picked up a LWB Vivaro and loving it.
Pulls well when full, plenty of room in back with 650 ltr tank and has a lower roof for us small guys getting ladders on off.
Thanks Robbie

I have Got a new VW Transporter.

Holds 1.4 tons.

And heres the best trick you have all been missing, it is fully galvanized, so is ideal for wfp.

Also , they have got very good resale values, especially after 5 years on.

In Oct 06 I bought a new doblo 1.3Sx  and I've got a 400L tank.

It's fine. If I pare everything down weightwise I could get an extra 75L in there as I work alone and don't have the weight of a ladder or backpack. I might do this over easter. But I'm approaching the limit of a days work and if I go more commercial I will run out and refill more often.

But ... if I look back, for a little more I could have got an "end of line" but new Fiat Scudo (Despatch/Expert) which would let me go to 650L and three seats, which would be more useful. I could also add hot water.

I just reckon if things progress nicely that in two and a half years time I will go for the new version of the Scudo, but who knows what's going to be available.

I know several w/c that use peugeout/scudo/despatches and they seem good. I know another who has had probs with a vito and a roofer friend whose vito has been expensive. At the smaller end doblo's and berlingo's have good reports.
It's a game of three halves!

Me again - I reckon if I do well then I would go for something like this too!
