has anyone had a system from here and installed it themselves instead of having it fitted, I want to get my system from here but can not get upto them so was thinking of having it delivered and installing myself is this easy enough, if its difficult what kind of company could i get to do it.

surely it would be easy enough, talk to andy mccan and ask him? if you don't know how to plump it all in, maybe get him to draw you a diagram? to bolt the cage to the chassis maybe ask a local mechanic if you don't feel confident enough, as they can get the van in the air on a lift.

I don't think it would be very difficult to install

I bought my system from Andrew and fitted it myself, its so easy as it comes with a manual full of Instructions and a telephone number if you should get stuck.

You get a First class service from purefreedom and Andrew MaCann.

Yer its a awesome system, just cant get up there as have commitments at home, phone quite a few other companys who will match it but i dont believe they will be as good as this system, also one company said they will link battery so can be charged by van instead of seperate charging, how does everyone charge there battery on there system.

split charge relay, no probs

I've been informed that a split relay charger is only suitable if you're doing long journeys in the van. Not very good for short stops on a domestic round as the van's not running long enough to charge the pump battery.

I think it only trickle charges the second battery after the van battery is full, but I'm not sure on that. Would be good if you'd use the van for a little bit of private use aswell.

Apart from that, monday they have a battery charger with trickle charge for £9.99, once in a while take it out of the van, or get an extension lead, and just charge the battery.

Thanks nearly right, I have the 4040 but I also have to of everything.

My advice would call him direct tell him what you want, I got poles and loads of other bits with my system, and also had it fitted by them as 1, I like to know over 650kg is safe behind me when moving and 2, I am lazy.

have to say Andrew is a top guy. and does not over sell you at all, I went home with money in my pocket that was burning holes allday till I got back home.

You will be riddled with problems if you but a vivaro/traffic/primastar for under £6500, and below 52 and reasonable millage,

personally i would recommend, and ex BT van, if you get it around 70,000 miles it will still have loads of life left, BT really look after their vans and it shows,

They have a 1200kg payload, programmable  eberscaper heater in the back, hot water heater, safety deposit box,

If you dont want any of these things you can sell them for near £300, and there is also the racking, which is secured to the chassis, so makes mounting a tank super easy,

You could make your self a diy system you know for half of what you are going to pay, and despite what people tell you ratchet straps secured to the chassis via a steel frame is more than enough

oh yeah its got a bulk head too

If your tight for money then just source all the parts from ebay and just spend a few days trailing through goggle etc etc.

I have both style of vans. BT transit, and vivaro 

there are pros and cons between the 2 vans. the transit with out a shadow of a doubt is more of a work horse, it is nice having the hot water in the back, the eberspacher heater, the pelican comes in handy to. you can fit a hell of a lot more in the back of the transit but they are a lot slower.

i have the vivaro swb which is the 100 ps version, its a lot quicker but is a lot more danty, i don't think it will stand the test of time as much as the transit but we will see  they are lovely to drive but as we carry towers and stuff you just can't get them in. If i were to chose between the 2 i think i would go for the transit, i think the vivaro just isn't hard enough  if you know what i mean?

Already got the van, got a 52 reg Renault trafic with 77,000 miles and full history.
