having problems with windows that bead-hydrophobic i think? any how i always seem to get spotting , are there any tricks of the trade or is it just a case of taking longer and go over it more. see i think its a lot quicker to get the ladder out and blade it. or will they eventually get easier and cleaner quicker.?

what i do on phobic glass is, scrub as normal but instead of rincing all the way across side to side break the window down in to say 3 sections, depending on the size of pane, and rince down each section, i feel you get a more constant flow of water this way. also, if you are using pencil jets, i make sure i hold the brush off the glass and direct the water into the top corners before rincing.

tompoole do you clean the frames every time if so it could your be the  problem .(not enough flow on the glass to rinse the brush)
also watch for the beads that run in a straight line down i always find they hold the dirt
just give them a another wee rinse..

squeaky never had wee in the bath its good for the the skin iam 48  and still get asked for I.D when i go for some beers.

There's seems to be different types of hydrophobic glass. There's glass that the water just seems to peel off of. I find this to be the best type to clean with WFP. However, there's also the type where the water seems to remain on the glass like a fine spray no matter how much I rinse it. This is the type that I find a little problematic and I have to use quite a bit more water to get them clean as the dirt doesn't run off very easily.
Overall though, I still work a lot quicker with the pole than ladders and can catch up a lot quicker when I've had to have time off because of bad weather or sickness.

I can never get a 100% perfect finish on phobic glass, no matter how, or for how long, I rinse.

However, I have found that I get the best results (95-99% spot free) when I spend more time (and use more water) on the brushing phase. The more water that is used - the more dirt is washed away.

By doing more brushing and using more water, the beads of water that are holding the dirt are being continuously replaced by beads of water holding less and less dirt - until (theoretically) there should be no dirt left to hold.

That's my theory anyway!
