« on: March 11, 2008, 09:14:30 pm »
Hi all i wondered if anyone could shed some light on this for me please.

I have just purchased a numatic rotary cleaner and have only used for for a few minutes when i was on my prochem course so would like to know if im doing something wrong.

I set it up today bonnet on presprayed the carpet and bonnet yet when i pull on the start levers the machine is cantering to the right? is there a certain way really to use this as i presumed it was turn on away you go?

Don't fight the machine.

In use, if you lift the handle it will move to the right.

Lower the handle it will move to the left.

You should almost be able to run the machine and move it with the lightest of pressure either up or down on the handle. It should take you about 1 minute to master the technique.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

Sounds about right and if you lift the handle slightly it will go to the left press it down again and off to the right you go again.
its all about balance and this will take time the more you use it the easer it becomes.

Your best starting off in the back yard on a slabbed area with a brush and plenty of water.

Better to make a fool of yourself in your own back yard than in someone lounge where the world and his dogs watching you.
Besides there's not much you can smash up in your own back yard not like in a house so to speak.

Its all a matter of weight distribution and balance.
If you imagine the pad rotating in a clockwise direction ........
if you lean the machine forward its going to go to the right,
if you lean the machine backwards it going to go to the left.
Get it balanced and you go no where.

but you want to go somewhere - do you want to left ? - what do you need to do.
do you want to go right ? - what are you going to do?

Once you got the knack - its like riding a bike - you never forget.
