The right decision Matt.

Which useless pleb of a weather forecaster said yesterday was the stormy day?

Nothing much at all yesterday, didn't even knock my patio heater over.  ::)
Today though... :o
Must have been gusting to 60+.

Way too windy for wfp, it would cause too many spots, and when my customers don't really like it anyway, there's no point giving them ammunition. :-\

Squeegeed a few bungalows, but that was a nightmare too, as it kept blowing back across the glass.

Then my bucket blew over.
I gave up, needless to say... ;D

I was the same this morning got to 1st job at about 8.45 did two windows and it started raining.
So finished that house and went home just as i got home it stopped so decided to go back out again.
as soon as i got the the next job it started again and the wind had picked up.

Anyway i waited for it to stop and it did so got that job done and it started again so i thought sod it i will take the rest of the day of i hate day like this.

I got home at 10.15 and its been rain on and off since then.

I hate day when the weather don't know what it want to do.
I would rather have rain or no rain but not both.

Spot on.

When it does dry up I can't be arsed.
I need to crack on with work right from the start, not halfway through the day.

Im exactly the same if i can't crack on straight away i just can't manage to really get into it and get much done.

Anyway fixed a trigger on my unger pole today and that works really well going to buy another 4 now for my other pole's.

So i did do some work two jobs and a trigger so not such a wasted day.

It shows that we are all just human. Its encouraging to know that its not just me feeling this way on days like these. Needless to say ive been home two days, and they wonder why we charge more than a factory wage to clean their windows!Roll on the fine weather! 8) 8)

I'm not one for creating my own stress so Ive decided to just chill. After all what can we do?
I'm sure we will all have time to catch up soon (touch wood ???) I'm going to try 2 gutter cleans tomorrow as the wind wasnt as strong as they predicted today so hopefully they've got it wrong for tomorrow as well.

I had a full day today, used my pole at 150 feet in eighty mile an hour winds and it never even flexed! Did sixty houses by three thirty gave them my rain gurantee even though they don't need it and i picked up twelve new customers too. you lot are just slackers and need to get off your lazy backsides - there is work to be done! ::)

Well, i had a better day than yesterday, old peoples home first thing but half of them forgot to tick my sheet, they have to pay to have them cleaned but the warden has been off sick for months so nothing gets organised. ::)
If your depressed come and chat to that lot - you'll hang yourself by the afternoon! Came home to dodge the rain then went back out and cleaned in tremendous gusts of wind. The Trad guys still out working off ladders too!

I went out this morning after doing nothing this yesterday.  Did the morning and was driving back for a bite to eat and a Transit van smacks into the back of me and writes my car off - I'm hacked off as I've got bad whiplash and I've just bought the car and was using it for the first time today  >:(

Whiplash? that's got to be worth £1500 from his insurance company?

We're a bit like that; but it's not a good attitude when you've got bills to pay!

We could've worked and at least have earnt something, but I've spent yesturday and today tiling the kitchen (or rather prepping the walls to tile), but I'd rather be out working.

I had a window cleaner call round today, who works in most weathers (not Ian Giles our Mod; though he does too), but even he'd given it up as a 'write off'.

That made us feel a bit better; you can feel a bit 'soft' for not working in inclement weather.

i watched the forecast  on look north yesterday evening and had already written the day off ...but this morning weather was fine, checked forecast again ,looked like i might get half a day in :-\.Guess what? dry all day ;D,had to nip home for some dinner tho,cos i never bothered doing pack up  >:( all in all cracking day.Was a bit windy this afternoon but probably seemed worse cos i was up the ladder doing gutters(first time for a while ,scary for a start :-\) Not gonna bother watching forecasts anymore ,you can talk yourself into giving up if you take too much notice of em >:(

What are you doing on here at this time of night on your birthday!!!

When you mentioned Look North I had a look at your profile to find out where you are from "in the North", but you're just a southerner like all the rest of them!!
