I quoted for gutters, soffits and facia today on a bungalow.  50 meters = £50 quid (pound per meter)

She about fell through the floor, but still said ok to having them done at least once a year.

Job might take about 1 1/2 hours or so.

Price it up to as mush as you think you can get an add another £20 on top (I would say £70 - £ 100 for a ave 3 bed house)

Never sell yourself short on these jobs.

Some can be a pain and some easy and always depends on the state they are in.

I charge pur hour normally. £50 if in resonable state £70 if rank. If unsure of how long it will take
add on for extra time.

Is it me or don't you all find them hard work but can be done fast? We are WFP and bruv & I can get through them quite quick, and if the custie is in I sometimes feel guilty.... :-[
Or am I just mad?

Its a natural reaction to working outside whats comfortable for you, if youre set up to earn (for arguments sake) £30 an hour and you find work bringing in double that rate then doubt can build up in your mind, but its not window cleaning is it, so the rate is different to a window clean rate.

There are companies out there charging (in comparison) what are considered by some on here , as extortionate rates.

Have confidence in what you do and the price you charge. 99% of customers will tell you they cant afford it etc etc most of the time BUYERS ARE LIARS.

on the undersid eof soffit how har dis it to clean? i'd imagine with pole up straight and brush head facing up also the water would only trickle out? Is it powerful enough to come out in a jet still? also sme people have down lights fitted do these cause any problems?

Hello Jsmc, yeah we do as you said with the pole, and we set the flow rate low for soffits. It all ends up running down your arms if it's too high. Yeah the lights are a pain. Soffits are the hardest to clean I think.

Mark - think your right... will have more confidence in the future, your point that it's not window cleaning is totally spot on. Had not been thinking along those lines, but I am now. Cheers  ;D

i did some today, all straight runs ,no roof work lots of room so good angles for ladder, turf on two sides, nice new level block paving and (bonus) a flat roof extension on the other two.I charged 3 quid a mtr. and was well happy for the time it took to do,but having seen the prices some big companies charge for con roof cleaning i think that in future £5 a mtr would be perfectly fair for cleaning guttering, soffit and fascia,as for using the pole or a pressure washer,i cant see how it can do as good a job as getting up a ladder and doing it by hand ??? if anyone on here is not to far away from me and uses a pressure washer for cleaning fascias i would really like to see it being done as i imagine it must be MUCH faster
