Blooming suppliers
« on: March 08, 2008, 03:31:07 pm »
Hi all
Monday I rang a supplier to ask what make of resin they supplied, they rang back Tuesday and it was not the make I wanted so I ordered it from elswhere. While I was on to them I placed an order for £150. (a pole, brush and a few connectors) that was going to be made up wednesday.
All paid up then, I expected my parcel Thursday. Thursday came and went gets to Friday lunch and I email them. No reply emailed again today but without any reply as yet
It is the first time I have dealt this company.
I'm just so dissappointed
Tony

I find cleantech and soap international faultless so far - cleantech replaced foc some filters that got damaged in transit last week! Top guys!
It's a game of three halves!

Can I add Window Cleaning Warehouse to the 'good suppliers' list!

They're quick to deliver and the stuff they send is what you'd expect to receive.

come on tell us who the supliers are i cant fault any apart from brodex i told my self i wouldnt use them again then 2 week ago a clamp broke on my prolong pole, the clamp breaking wasnt the problem as it was my own fault and in fairness i really like the pole but their customer service is terrible the clamp took over a week to be delivered and was charged over £16 for one clamp they sell pretty good stuff but their after service puts me of using them.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

hi Trev
I dont want to name them as I only wanted to note my dissapointment and not get into a post where some people swear by them ect.
I have used most of the big suppliers and they all take your phone numbers and email address's.
I have now heard from them via email and it was a stock issue.
Took this post to sort it though.
Thanks for your replies

In no particular order  ;D
Soap National (my first window cleaning love :))
gardiners (rarely answer phone but have always rung me back)
cleantech (solid and reliable)
wcw(fine)
cleaning spot(ok depending on who takes the order)
usually its the courier who messes up the actual delivery

We must bear in mind that window cleaners generally want stuff delivered yesterday and suppliers are generally well on the ball for quick shipping. Have had the odd glitch, but rare really. On the whole I think we are very well served.

Ben
agree with that, any probs i have had have been down to delivery people NOT suppliers
and i dont know who gardiners use but they show some initiative and knock the neighbours,so you get the package instead of a "we tried to deliver"slip

Probs with a few suppliers if you order lots and they have one shortage then they will only send the order when complete. Business wise they think they are correct but what they fail to recognise that one part could stop the guys work for days!!!!

QUESTION...  How to please all of the people all of the time?

ANSWER..  Impossible.

I've used quite a few suppliers and am generally very happy with the service I get. They have a pretty hard job to do to keep everyone happy and I find they try to very hard. Any company will have disgruntled customers at some time. That's just a fact of life or should I say business.

I always find it best to call the company up rather than order online then I know if anything isn't in stock so can always go elsewhere if it's needed fast.

Don't see any point in posting this here if you ain't gonna name who it is, you might just as well had a rant at your missus ;D
It's hardly like they robbed you is it, just delivery a few days later than you thought.

Hi John.
The purpose of the post was to highlight the fact I had placed an order and expected delivery but was not informed of the delay.
I try to run my business by keeping my customers informed of the next visit.
Please don't feel cheated go rant at your mrs!

Hi all

If you rang Monday and they only got back to you with an answer Tuesday then I've a good guess as to who it is.
Don't let it spoil your weekend, you "expected delivery" and you will get it, just not as soon as you thought :(

I've used Gardiner's, Soap National, Omnipole, and Essentially Pure in no particular order.  Rarely had a problem and if there has been one, it has been quickly rectified.
Would happily do business with any one of them.  Not done business with anyone else but I'm sure that most are fine.

I have always been impressed with all the suppliers. Less so with the couriers. I have all my parcels sent to my Mum's address because there is nobody at home here during the day. Although we have ( or had ) a porch they wouldn't leave anything and I would have to drive miles to pick up the parcel.
