Hi Bill,

We find that if the hairs dont come out with vacuuming then we just clean the carpets normally and then go back over with a short nylon bristled deck scrubbing brush and it just drags the loose hair right out. - Does take a little more time but is worthwhile to get a satisfied customer :)

Its a good idea to show them whats come out as well :o

regards
steve

Explain the description of the carpets she gave over the phone dosent match her house and I will need to do XYZ extra to achieve a good result which will cost extra and give price.

If she dosent like it she can lump it.

Mark

PS. this only happens once in a blue moon.

i have one customer who i think doesn't vac from one of my visits to the next and she has 2 dogs and about 5 cats, the carpet is thick with hair/fur, i just pre-spray and give it a good brush with the grooming brush, most of the hair is picked up on the brush and what is left on the carpet she is ok with, she doesn't expect miracles.
she also has a chicken that has the run of the kitchen and a duck just outside the patio door in its own paddling pool

ps funny enough when i go there i have always just had a coffee at my last job and don't need one now!

Only thing with walking away is that you have booked in a few hours work told other callers that you may not get because of timing that you can't get them in on that certain day and they go elsewhere and you then have lost revenue with a time slot in the middle of the day.

I would carefully explain that you can do what she wants at a revised price or stick to the accepted price and tell her what you will do for that money but just in a sympathetic way as you do want her money which ever option she chooses.
