DIY wfp system
« on: February 22, 2008, 04:35:18 pm »
If i was to build my own system (van mount) what would i need to buy (put in a vivaro), i want a baffled 650 liter tank, just dont know exactly what else i would need, what kind of money would it cost, also want poles to do ground, first and second floor so what length and makes of pole plus brush do you recommend , am still thinking about having this fitted http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=260211450607&Category=112579&_trksid=p3907.m29    but if i can set my own system up similar to this i will, is there anyone in sussex who knows any where that could fit it if i got stuck. Hope you can help.

Cheers

Chris

hi chris just a thought re diy system. iv e got a pro 5 ionics system and it s great can t fault it . however i somtimes look at it when ireplace filters etc and think if i priced everything up individualy i d save a fortune. however being useless at any sort of diy i d hate to think i had to put it together the thought of setting it up to backwash for instance. probably somone will say it s simple but i don t know. if i was in your position i d make enquiries to somone in the industry if they do any advisary work in there spare time if you know what i mean. i m sure you can do it cheaper that way

You would really struggle to beat the Purefreedom system on ebay, even if you bought all the kit you wouldnt save hardly anything, Luke
Ffenest ( est 2007 ) is a fully insured premium quality window cleaning service based at Llandderfel near Bala. All our work is guaranteed, rain or shine, year round.

At that price you're not going to save much doing it yourself, plus fitting it in the van is difficult.

If you really want your RO in the van, this looks like an excellent deal.

Personally I prefer to have the RO in the shed and transfer the water to the van tank - less weight to carry around, less loss if you have your van stolen, trashed etc.

Purefreedom will supply either van mount or static, and if they're doing offers like this, I would go for it.  I built my own system from scratch, but I still spent close on this figure.

Jaykie,

I live only 15 miles from Pure Freedom.  I went to them last year to see if they could build me a Bespoke Trailer system.  Andrew Mc Cann is the owner and is a good chap.  He started up in window cleaning about 5 or so years ago then, along with his brother who owns Adepta Engineering, developed the Pure Freedom Trolley.  Pure Freedom has gone from there.  Apart from being a long way from you, you won't go far wrong with Andrew.

just wondering, is £1,995.00 the starting price for the 250ltr, going up with the tank size?
i would have thought so.
