Do you price bungalows differently then houses?

i.e. If you charge £1 per window on houses, do you reduce it for bungalows or keep it the same?

i do a few bungalows, nearly all the same on the estate i do them @ £6-£7 a piece nice easy work, i save them for the windy days!

Bungalows are £10. I have a few old ones that are still £8 and one that is £15.
I just do a fixed price. Silly trying to work out a price using formulas.

Bungalows are a bit cheaper in my book as there's no ladderwork.

If a 3 bed house is £10 then a 3 bed bungalow is £7ish.

I think that's true up to a point.

I do a huge house in an expensive part of town...loads and loads of glass but all very accessable.  I can whip round this house in under an hour trad.

Now this place I reckon conservatively is worth £2m and the drive has £250k's worth of cars sitting on it. The 3 kids all go to private school.

I generally charge £25ph.

There is a 'holiday' home (£3million dormer bungalow) I do that takes 2 of us 15 minutes I charge over £50 for it. It is all leaded though and used to take us a lot longer trad!

I agree.

I give each window a time, plus  I add time for any other issues. e.g  difficult access, dog poo ect, then multiply the time with my hourly rate = Bingo - that's how much it will cost.

That way I have some degree of pricing consistency with my round, and should avoid under quoting a job.

Works for me anyway.

I don't see how you can do it any other way to be honest.  All methods of pricing throw up inconsistancies. In the end it works out to be what you are happy to do it for and the customer is happy to pay.

i charge the same myself n im in the south east,  most of my bungalow customers are elderly, n they are chuffed with the price.  i do it trad, washing with the pole every 6 moths

Do lots of bungalows - pricing structure is the same as anything else. True, only ground floor, but you can be sure there are always other factors to consider.

I price bungalows the same as house's.

I used to price per window but not anymore just have a walk round i don't count the windows i then know how longs it going to take and give them there price.

I used to price at £1 per window but now some of my price's are slightly higher so price by time.

thats the beauty of the window cleaning market, the prices can go from the sublime to the ridiculous. the skill is getting it as near to ridiculous as you can for your area.
I usualy walk around the property counting £1 per window (from toilet window to 3 section kitchen window)and doors. Dormers, skylights and patio doors at £2 each. Then i walk back round and look at the job as a whole to see what i think its worth. Bungalows same as mansions. hope this is useful

Hmmmm.......perhaps it is just the way you have written this, but if you consider the price to be "ridiculous" then won't the customer?
We are in the top range of charging in our area, there are some that quote way more than us, and that is why we have them as custies. On average, we work at a rate of £30.00 to £38.00 per hour dependant on the days workload.

I price the same as Alex! on the time it takes i dont look at bungalows any diffrent to houses why should you :S if a bungalow takes 30mins and a house takes 30mins shouldnt be the same price? infact i have bungalows that are more than some houses i do.

each job i do is priced the same way the amount of time it will take to clean all windows then extra is added
