I still trad a lot of windows, especially the "eyeball windows" but really I am WFP simply because its easier and quicker and hence more profitable.

I don't see the sense in dragging up all the old arguements again.

read the post correctly

I have been doing WFP for nearly 7 mths now and very rairley I do trad and thats only if they want the insides done and I charge them double the price to do it ( And send the other bloke in aswell )..... Had a customer who has got leaking leaded windows and they asked if next time I can can I do them the old way. It is a £15 job but and to be honest with you, I couldn't be botherd to do it cos we were ahead on figures this week and picked up 6 new jobs anyway..... So my point is WFP for me and let someone else do it trad
When your windows are clear, My conscience is clear...

Mainly wfp now (backpack), but I still do some trad for various reasons. Customers complains about one window, I rinsed and rinsed again. Still no good. Trad it. It's quicker. I'm happy. Customers happy. Everyone's happy. Best thing about wfp is being off ladders. Second best thing is I earn so much more.

The customer wants you to clean her property.

You know that it should be done with anything but ladders.

You know that one day you will fall and die, but you should put your life on the line and clean them, because thats what she wants and it is her money.

Just because us trads use ladders does not mean that we are definatley going to fall and die. Any dodgy windows dont get done simple.

What  a load of nancy boy rubbish.

Just because you get up a ladder doesn't mean you are going to fall and die. ::)

I did 25 years in outdoor advertising using triple 18 foot ladders around London and I'm still here to tell the tale.

No H&S then but you looked out for yourself and your own safety.

Modern H&S has scared some people s***less.  ;)
Cheers,
