Just going to hijack a moment. Alex will this pole be ok for gutter cleans? You know the ones, full extension over a conservatory with a fair bit of pressure? I'm hoping it's strong enough for a bit of abuse. Would you be happy pushing a window shut with it?

I should be getting an email tomorrow which will let me know the exact shipment date. I will then personally email all those with one on reserve.

The SL-X will be man enough for almost anything you want to throw at it. It will easily push any window shut. I carried out a very 'scientific' test on it last week, unfortunately I did not have it on video! The test was called the throwing it off the back of a moving vehicle at 35mph and watch it bounce along the road!!

I had forgotten to strap it back on the roof and it decided to part company with the vehicle as I accelerated out of the 30 limit. It picked up a gash on each clamp and a massive dent in the gooseneck, it also pulled the end cap off. I popped the end cap back on and used it on the next job with no adverse effects. It survived very well, we have also done the classic letting it fall over tests when fully extended etc. All intentionally of course :)

Do you find that your using that pole now on all jobs that don`t require anymore height,by that i mean for tops and bottoms.

I find that I use the 25ft SL-X for everything, even bungalows. I then pull out the Super-Lite for any work that is over 30ft.
SL-X at 22ft extension:

will these be strong ? ? ??

Very :)

That is not me, it's my father who has been window cleaning for 29 years now and yes that is how he was dressed for work that day.

Photograph must have been taken in 1958 with the pole photoshopped on afterwards.

We won't be having a stand at Windex - too much to do and too little time to do it in!  That is a prototype of the new brush which we are really hoping to get in time for the release of the SL-X.

Are the clamps on the pole in the picture, going to be the same clamps on the new poles?  Are they like the tucker clamps?

The clamps in the picture are virtually the same as the finished article, minor changes and different colour. They are very different to the Tucker type fastenings. They are a sideways cam operated clamp.

That seriously looks like the ultimate pole, short when clsoed, thin, stiff and very small clamps, would love to try one, dont think I will be able to though  :( Luke
