Sun , Salt, and WFP
« on: February 11, 2008, 04:23:08 pm »
I have noticed today whilst cleaning a couple of house's facing the sea, that due to the sun drying the glass at a much faster rate - I have been getting some rather nasty streaks, that look like sea salt.

I have a feeling they have leached out from the double glazing seals.

But no matter how much brushing , and rinsing I do - they was always a streak on the sun facing windows.

The only cure for me was to redo the glass again, and then they were OK.

Has anybody else come across this, and what was your solution?

But Hay - bloody lovely to be out cleaning in the sun. :)

I do about 10 houses about 10 yards from the seaand they are litterally covered in salt, don`t think that by blading them trad is the answer cos even with a brand new blade in the sun they`ll be kick marks all over the place. The only answer is to pole them with a good flowrate,i don`t do frames every time but use enough water to give the glass a good rinse,if you use the same amount of water on these window`s as you would do inland you`ll get problems as every clean is like a first one.

I'll turn up my flowrate tomorrow, and try it. Thanks
