I also had the same problems, so now I just use 40gram thinsulate gloves. Just have to take them off to do tickets or handle money. Swings and roundabouts really, Also my hands dont stink at the end of the day. Anyway with a bit of luck we wont need them till next september.bvc
I find that they last a good length of time in normal use. Do not let them 'over-dry' after use (all night on a radiator) as this will leave them over-brittle which can affect their longevity.
They are not waterproof though. So will be ok for this weather we are having at the moment and the summer. The latex ones im using at the mo are good as they are waterprrof and as they are close to your skin they keep your hands warm. Only down side is when i take them off at the end of day, my hands look like ive been in the bath too long.

5 mm scuba gloves from any scuab shop, do a google search i got mine for about 10 quid, they are now 3 years old and still look newidea for early mornings, infact i had them on this morning, the ice on te van was thick, i warmed my gloves on the van windscreen heater and they were very nice
