Gell batteries?

What are they, do i need one and are they rated differently to lead acid batteries?

They last for ages and there about twice the price of a normal lesiure battery.

I just got a 140 AH one which allows 500 recharges at 90% discharge.

Cost me £300  :o

i got two 40ah gel sealed batteries from ebay cost £100 ish for the two, they last for a long time on one full charge, ive been going 5 days now without charging... on one of them
