Looking for 120 lts a min.  Only got a 400lts to fill.  Any recommendations where is best place to buy this from? See many about but looking for cheapest deal.

I got one from Lidel couple of months back - it was so cheap i bought it as a spare. I might use it in the summer to pump my waste water over the garden.

What distance are you pumping and would ther be a massive drop over 20 mts??  That's my distance.

sorry i meant lidle my mistake i am pumping about 20 meters not sure what liters per hour is though that's the lidle one i fill 250 tank in about 1/2 hour

Aldi also do a petrol water pump which looks good. £100 - all ready to go that pumps 650 litres per minute!

Are these better than draper pumps.  Would you say clarkes are best???

The 120 ltr per minute is more than enough to fill 400 ltr container BUT as I've got 20 mts to pump water to van how much will the output drop??  Will i need to get higher than 120 lts / min to compensate for the 20 mtrs run.??

I want to fill the 400 in no more than 10 mins really (if I have to go back to base to fill-up)

Well it sounds like you are on the case now.

I don't know about Draper, but I do know that Machinemart stuff is usually robust and lasts.

Work out what does the job best.

If you need to do 0 - 60 in 5 seconds... You buy an engine that does it in 2 or 3 don't you.

Hi Andrew - if you pump through 1 inch bore tubing you will notice a very large drop in flow over that distance.  I'd recommend something like this

be aware though that it has a 38mm aperture (you can buy an adapter to make it fit 1 inch or 1.25 inch tubing)

even the smaller einhell will be very fast (and I think they're made in Germany)

The Einhell pump seems amazingly cheap??  Are they a good make or would you recommened draper.  Don't want to go too cheap!!

they have a 1 year guarantee from what I see plus a stainless steel shaft drive.

you prob won't get anything better for under £100, which is why I wish I'd bought 2 of them instead of what I have, well, they're a bit slower but a lot cheaper.

Is the lay flat hosed just connected by jubille clip???  Presume there is not a screw thread adaptor that I could buy to connect hose to pump??

How do you connect it??

don't buy layflat hose, its sh.... not very good.

wait 5 mins and I'll get you a link for the hose you want.  the adapter comes with the pump (or so it says on the link)

Is it ok to use standard hose then???  Don't want to damadge pump!!

If I got the £40 german pump what hose will I need 1" or 1.5 "?? What connectors would be required???

just checked it again and it needs 1 inch hose, don't use half inch hose, it'll be far too slow.  it only says to use layflat on the site because they sell it!!

you'll also need a jubilee clip for the hose, a tap/nozzle for the end of the hose to stop it siphoning out as well.

I'd really recommend the nozzle from the 1st tooled-up link, its what we use and is pretty much indestructible.
