i've seen a round for sale in the Dorset area for £2600. this for 6 days per month, bringing in £750. This price only includes the work, no equipment etc.
Is this a good price, if not what is?

If your happy with the price it's worth it.
A round is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay.
I not to hard to build a round up of your own if you have the time a keep the money you would have spent on the round.
But if you want to get into window cleaning quick and build on that buying a round could be a good option.
Just make sure before you part with any cash you are getting what you have been told and they are up to date on the cleaning.

thanx guys,
dont know the details of the round yet, we are meeting on monday.
I have already compared with prices on your site and it seems quite a bit more expensive but none of them are in this area and i understand there is quite a bit of regional variation.
also has anyone had any experience with the hydrosomething mobile glassmaster, they offer to put together a round for you...i would like to hear if this is a reputable comp, has anyone got a round off them before?

They canvass for you and quote prices but don't do the work so have no relationship with customers. You are actually paying canvassers big money.
Buy an established round or pay your friends and relatives to canvass.
It will save you a fortune.
PS post the details after your meeeting and we can tell u if its a good price.

in my area nottm if window cleaning round is worth £1000 a month you pay £2000 4 it,sounds as though its a bit expensive, but look at it this way if richard branson could buy an aircraft buiss and get a full return of out lay within 4 months, would he buy it?
mind you who wants to fly on a plane that doesnt go all the way? VIRGIN

Had meeting tonight, the work is through agency for several 3 storey residential blocks quite local. The money is paid monthly through standing order, he said its lots of ladder work but i might be getting a wfp. He also said that by a days work he meant 4-5 hours for one man with squeegee.
What do you think?
Just got the virgin joke

I have never got less than £60 canvassing for 2 hours (6-8pm) a night and I dont push customers into using me. If you go canvassing for 2 weeks you should have built up more than £750 quite easily, especialy if you canvass from 4-8 - if you buy the work for that price it will take you nearly 4 months to earn it back (I believe the going rate for a good residential round is 3 x the monthly amount at the most).
If you canvass youll save yourself £2600 to live on ffor the 2 weeks while canvassing, buy your equipment and have some change as well.
