Just tested my water. TDS was 220 before membrane,60 after and 3 after resin. Is that normal or is my membrane severely mullered, i mean due for renewel? Any help appreciated. Ta lads

No just new filters is the most likely thing. They are cheap enough.

If you have a particularly high tds after RO should get you down to around 20 tds, maybe 30     60 shows something needs replacing

I must admit, i have to a bit of "green"forming in the carbons. I think it's from being in direct sunlight as i never had the same prob when RO was indoors. I'll renew the lot tomorrow. I soo miss the days of just having to wash my scrims   ::)

I agree, resin should bring it down to 0 TDS and thats not happening, so if it was me I would change the resin

if i had 03 I would get another resin vessal saves throwing it away when there is no need  ;)

static WW. I keep it in the garden indirect sunlight. I think that's half my problem. the filters react to the sunlight. I try covering them but green bits still start forming :)

Your RO membrane is under performing for some reason, and I doubt just changing the pre-filters will fix it. My input tds is 240 odd,.. output after the RO is 4-6 depending on the temp & tap pressure.
What is your tap pressure? Low pressure can stop the membrane working right,... failing that, I reckon you'll need a new membrane.

first avoid direct sunlight (you will know that) if tank is in direct light you are asking for more trouble, paint it black, also the ro can you not put a box over it or build a cupboard for it?

sun + water = growth and unless you have a uv your on a losing battle, even with a uv it would still be hard keeping it all at bay
