do a search on here for parish magazines. Everyone says good things about them. Each to their own but i find countryside work to be more lucrative and easier to pick up stand alone profitable work.Look at the thread "New customers slowing down." Quickly start leafletting the villages as well as putting an advert in parish magazines because each winter i have a higher % of success in gaining new work from leaflets. It's normally around 5% but is nearer 15% so far this year.Jan/feb and march has been the best time for me to pick up new work the last 4 winters now.Hi Mark,Thankyou for the advise,1 question do you find posting leaflets brings in more business than door knocking.Cheers,John.
I agree with the others. Window cleaning is about knocking on doors, dealing with the people, working out or guessing a price, making mistakes and learning by them.You will get a feel for things as you go along and as your confidence grows it gets easier.The ability to actually clean glass is not really that important although a basic skill level does help. A big smile and a cheery manner wins hands down.
