Best advertising results

Yep its that old chestnut again ;)

We want to really push the con roof cleaning side of things and wondered how best to do it?

We already have quite a few who want it doing twice a year ;)

Our aim is to get enough of these for a couple of days per week on a 4 weekly basis.

I have had a price from our local paper (reaches half million readers once a week)

For a small black and white rectangle about 8cm x 2cm its £65 per week. :)

For a colour one about 10cm x 25cm its £600 per week. :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Now dont get me wrong if I think its worth it I will spend whatever it takes but its hard to get feedback from anywhere on how their ads have performed.

Obviously a large colour ad is gonna get more business that week but £600 does seem a bit steep for a week. :o :o :o

The other option is to have a small ad running for say 4 weeks but it will have less impact :( :(

In short guys and gals im asking if any of you could give me your experiences of the above.

Thanks in advance

Pete :) :)

Hi Pete,

My opinion of any kind of advertising, leaflets, letters, ads etc.. is that you have to keep repeating it, be it monthly, weekly or whatever.
4 weeks would be pot luck imo

Wouldn't leaflets be a better option? You could pick the areas and it would work out cheaper.

The time of year would have to be right aswell, like when the clocks change and the weather is getting better, then there might be a better chance of people noticing that there conservatory is dirty. Your leaflet lands in there hallway and there on the phone.

Only some ideas mate.

I've never bothered with local papers as i prefer to pick and choose the areas i work.
