Shiner

I wouldnt use that myself, it may cause misfiring and head gasket failure if over-used.

I have mine left in my back garden in 25 litre drums if i am not in, you have to arrange with the delivery driver, the letter box thing is for the American market who usually have a delivery box in there gardens.

I've got my fuel from them for over a year now, saved me £100's of pounds.

The ordering system often goes down when they have a lot of traffic.
Best thing to do is order it about 3am when the internet is quiet.

So how do you guys get it from the barrel to the van? That could be a bit tricky?

Dunno how much a 25l barrel weighs, but that must be not easy to just tip it in with a funnel?

I can't believe how cheap they are - I ordered thirty litres of super unleaded and it was there, next day, left on my doorstep in 2 litre plastic bottles.

I use my shureflow van pump to pump it into my tank, quick swill out with meths after and off to work. Keep my silver Deisel in 1000l ibc tank on top of my pure water.

I think it's shocking - sending petrol in the post is incredibly dangerous!

thats about the same with me... im only in a 16v ford escort estate lxi 1600 and can carry about 175 litres, in barrels i hate changing them over, though i havent been using a trolley. i usually carry 7 drums, aux batt pump etc.. + ladders, still goes well but quite allot of weight for an estate.

hopefully it will be ok, did you notice how the tires go down allot, i mean squished down and rounded out a bit when loaded? what pressure do you fill your tires too? the garages say 26
i am fedup with changing barrels so i have bought a flat 250 ltr tank and metal straps to bolt it down, it just fits in the back, but i take the back seats out anyway to save some weight. I dont think il be able to carry 250ltrs but id rather have it all in one tank than fiddling about changing them, i dont take ladders anymore except some steps inside, so that will be better. I have noticed you have to be easier on the clutch and gentle accelerating and braking, but i cant afford a van right now.
Most of my round is 40+ miles away so about 100 miles each day it has been, but now i usually travel there, and stay at a relatives there which is handy as they let me keep a 1000ltr ibc in the garage and ro unit. I just pay them £20 a month for water, and stay down there for a week or less to get it done.

john, yes 30psi all four of them
sure everythings got to be gentle
i use the gears a lot to slow down instead of breaks
fully loaded i drive slow  i dont worry about having to stay close to the next car
usually 30-40 yards behind the rest
why dont you ask an experienced mechanic on how much weight your estate can handle?   i suspect its more than you think

ok, il put my tires upto 30 then, i didnt think an estate would be ok with around 200 litres but you say youve carried 300 before.. i didnt really have anywhere left to put the barrels as before i used to have 1 between the front seat and dash, 2 behind each seat, and 2 behind the back seats, then theres hose reel battery and pump box and poles. I dont want to fill the 250 ltr tank full because the weight of the tank alone and the metal straps is probably around 25kg empty, + 250 kgs water + 5 kg hose reel + 10kg batt and pump + poles 3kg + odd trad gear kg + steps 1kg + me 65kg ish minus back seats 10kg = 350kg as a payload,
id say about 4-5 people as a full car would be about 300kg max so its pushing it a bit.
