Thanks Stuart, I'm not knocking your pole (I'm sure its a good one) just stating I'd prefer a shorter length closed pole and I'm sure most other WFPers would too, upstairs windows no problem, but swinging a 7ft length around for the downstairs doesn't make me wanna buy one however good they are, and the premium price for buying a custom one :-\

You state
the poles have been designed and manufactured for window cleaning.

It would have been better to have been designed and manufactured for window cleaners. ;D

NWH,

Ive not asked you or any one to purchase a pole from a picture and the rigidity i mention shows the pole working as from my prior postings i also showed a picture showing it outstretched like the infamous window cleaning mag article to give an idea.

the length of the 20ft pole is about right as i explained earlier.

all the details will be on our website when its published and in our full colour brochure and price lists which will go out from next wednesday to those that have requested them.

regards, stuart

John,

My reply to your post was meant to explain why i had opted for a 3 section pole sorry if it sounded otherwise.

These days unless a pole is 5.7" closed i`m not interested, the perfect pole will do all window`s without the need to change poles for tops and bottoms. Some will say that length pole will do this but in reality alday i think not,i`m not slagging off the pole but what`s new about it.

Still haven't answered the closed length question. I do fully agree with NWH. If it is 7ft, it's way too long for an allround pole. And that is without a gooseneck?  :-\

As for the website :

Skypole.

I dont have the closed length details to hand but will post them either this evening or tomorrow.

The website you detailed has been out of action for around 2 1/2 years we released a new website 2 1/2 years ago which was closed down around 9mths ago so i dont know why that is still around the internet.

I hope this helps.

The difference is the material and build of the pole, i personally dont find a three section pole a problem as i see it the ground floor poles that are about by excel do that job perfectly so thats another reason i did not design and build a ground floor pole, i know that their will be those that say they use a 18or 20ft pole for everything but i did not design this pole just for houses or just for commercial.

i designed it for window cleaning and after the testing both in a lab and in the field i believe i have it just right.

I love the look of the 20ft one Skypole but its only 3 sections  :( It really needs to be shorter when closed, I'm 6ft 3 and cant stand using anything over 5ft 7 when closed, Luke

i would agree about the shorter lengths. The best move i ever made was swapping an 18ft 3 section excel for a 12ft 3 secion extender. How things have moved on since. I would never buy a pole that had a closed length of nearly 6 foot or more as i would need to get a smaller 1 out to do the downstairs on about 10% of my work.
Now 1 pole per job is a possibility and i drive a dispatch, the closed length is as important to me as weight or rigidity.
