How much for a website
« on: January 26, 2008, 07:23:05 pm »
A customer runs a print business and does website design etc.  Im cleaning his carpets so might do a swap.

Im looking for a website probably under 10 pages with no e-commerce.  Just pics and text.

What all should the price include and how much ballpark so i dont get burnt.

thanks
Mark

£500 - £750 for a quality site, well worth going the extra mile imo.

Cheap websites are like cheap business cards looking the part is the bit you need to get into the home.

As you know i design em, my questions would be-

how much per year or is it a one off fee?

how much much for up-dates

send me at least 5 sites that you have got onto page 1 of google for a keyword phase (carpet cleaning your area etc)

speak to the owners of websites he has done and see what they think

i think that a realistic price is between £50-100 per page depending on your content.....videos/pics/etc

inho..its the same as carpet cleaners..........you get what you pay for ;D ;D

life is one big learning experience!!!!!!!

Hi Art
I like your website but in my opinion it would be greatly improved with some better quality picture. You can by pictures of the web as cheap as one pound or take someof your own, this is only my view of course and just a suggestion.

thanks

Thanks Karl, all comments welcome mate and it's something that's been mentioned before.
Were you meaning all the pictures or just some of them?

Yes mate some i had to stretch some a little. I've no intention of taking them from other sites but thanks for the warning.

Could you suggest some sites that sell them?
