I've found a new supplier
« on: January 26, 2008, 07:48:10 am »
Working yesterday morning, finished at first house no problems, went to second house, switched on Varistream -nothing. Not suprised because the switch had been playing up but now I have a problem.

I had been meaning to order a spare for a while but now I'm in trouble. I can't bypass the Varistream because I will use so much water that its not worth it. I only use about a quarter of the pumps full on capacity when I'm working.

So I phoned Willamson Pumps to see if they had one. They have discontinued the old one but the stock of the new one was expected any day. However, they gave me the name of a stockest in London ( South Wimbledon ) that I had never heard of.

Gave them a ring, yes they had one. So I set off. It took me about an hour and a half to get there. They are in a little warehouse unit in a place called Zeal House, Deer Park Road , SW19. The place is stacked floor to ceiling with window cleaning supplies. Talk about Alladdins Cave!

You can find them on www.cleaningspot.co.uk

Prices were good too

I use them a lot.  If you buy a 100psi shurflo/varistream package it's quite a bit cheaper.  Protectakote is cheaper than direct from the manufacturers :)

Ps: They're the supplier arm of Chic Cleaning ;)

I used them to buy brackets for my water tank.  Customer service was bang on.  Phoned me to comfirm that my item had been dispatched and phoned me the next day to see if it had arrived.  Couldnt fault them.
Veni, vidi, vino, splatus.
