Hi,

Well today i have spent a few hours playing around with and stripping down my ro man in the garage.

Trying to figure out the pressure drop(still).

I still havent cracked it but i am convinced the water pressure is now fine and that maybe that harsh cold we had back a while ago may have affected the membranes.

Anyone else had a similar experience with there membranes or even ro man products.

do you flush the ro often enough ?? ? ?

is it the pre-filter, as the first 1 is made of a cloth type of material and over time it gets clogged and really slows production down

Usually i leave it on producing (more often than not) but i always flush plenty before i start purifying again.

As for the cloth thing in the vessel thats almost brand new and has no signs of having done anything yet.

I would like some help as well please, I have low water pressure so I have fitted a booster pump but this has made hardly any difference to the amount of water produced , I know its not the pump because I sent the first one back thinking it was faulty but the second one is just the same, so the problem must be with the filter, its an ro-man 100gpd with an 100gpd upgrade and its about 1year old, I flush it regularly but its only making about 200litres a day.

I am thinking of contacting ro man and seeing if they have any ideas.

when you say 200lit a day? is that whole 24 hours or just in the day??

It is better to Flush AFTER proucing pure water, as the membrane housing is then clean and salt and limescale free, if
you wait until you want to produce new water, then this means the R/O Mambranes are left in the unpure water remains
and this will slowly shorten ther life.

Id say 200lit for 100 GPD is right im not really clued up but..

i have a 300GPD purefeedom RO and in 24 hours i get about 700 odd litres witha booster pump.

I know this is obvious but do you have any leaks ? or an air lock

We have tested the mains pressure which is near 5 bar so its not that.

Next im planning on replacing the filters.

If that fails then i will put in a new set of membranes.

There can't be much else to it.
