advice please

has anyone been passed or bought work that hasnt been done for 3-4 months???if so what is the best thing to say to the customer so HOPEFULLY they dont cancil and take me on as the new cleaner??..
letters i reckon but not too sure

prob best just calling with each custy to explain situation and take it from there.  thats what I'd do
I've never been to bed with an ugly bird but I've woken up with loads!

face to face will always be the best option and explain that you have taken over the round, this way they get to know you, if they are not in leave a letter   ;)

Be carefull though; don't go 'face-to-face' if you look like this:

If you do look like the 'unpleasant above', I'd advise you to use a letter of introduction, informing your potential customers that you're a competant and fully insured window cleaner.

You don't want to go frightening them off, do you?

Having read loads and loads of Squeakies post (compulsory reading) I'd built up a mental picture of what he looks like....I'd had him down as around 50, grey(ish) hair, blue eyes, a bit of 2 day stubble, 5'9" ish tall, and very slightly tubby.

years ago when i was buying evry bit of work that came on the market, lots of the rounds hadnt been done for a long time but never had many problems with losing customers.

Apart from the hair, which he colours, you've described Squeaks to a 'T'.
