PAINTBALLED WINDOWS!!!!
« on: January 24, 2008, 08:45:55 pm »
My second job today was a big 25k glass sliding door inside and out. It had been paintballed by some vandals. Anyway I thought it was going to be a nightmare even though they had removed the majorty of the paint themselves. So when I turned up the glass was frosted looking and really really greasy( massive glass door - looked terrible ) so I used oil-flo 141, it came off perfectly!!!! Luke

A 49' x 32.5" window
Is there a vehicle big enouth to deliver this in the UK.

Perhaps thats why it cost so much, all the roads on route would need to be closed to transport this to site, and the vehicle couldnt go under bridges, telephone cables or any road with overhanging branches..

I've cleaned a huge house that is half glass and half bricks. The glass panes was roughly 15ft by 10ft or 15ft by 8ft each and they had fun and games getting that transported and fitted in, (especially the 2nd storey). They had one pane of glass that has a small crack in it from the suppliers when they were cutting it to shape that cost over £12000 unbeliable. It won't break because it's so thick with laminated layers. I use to have to stand back from the glass on sunny days because of the heat reflecting off it from the sun. The house has been used for several advertisements on TV in the past. Would need to when you see how much glass they had to pay out for ;D
