If you cant get to a job on the due date, you should always ring them and explain, otherwise they might think you are not coming back...also its good PR you are a professional window cleaner.

to be honest, most of my windows have been exeptionally clean this month i really dont know why, lots of mild days around xmas maybe? then heavey sharp rain... just summizing .. anyway to your point.....

of course you still clean them, they may have wiped them down themselves... dont assume you have been dumped ever.

they must tell you.

I doubt this customer would dump you because you are late, I personally give a 2 week space so this does not happen, 4 weelkly is 4 to 6 weekly and double if bi. this way it very very rarley happens that we are late. I did this because I expand my business and wanted a way to be able to do this without letting people down and also if staff let me down it is not a problem.

its hard to communicate with all your round after the amount of rain we have had.... and most of my customers would assume i am late because of the rain, its surely a pointless exercise ringing all your customers if you are late with the rain, i understand your point regarding customer relations but with christmas and the weather its pretty much common sense.

Ahhh, how negative we can be sometimes.

In a positive light, as there is one, must mean you're doing a good job, with a standard of work to be proud of, be happy for that fact.

You might get recommendations because of it, but dont tell everyone ;)

I have often wondered why I bother to clean some of the windows because they are still clean since the last visit.
I posted recently about a good customer who has gone back from 8 weeks to 12 weeks and now wants to go to 16 weeks because her windows are still OK. She's not short of money, its a big gated house in a very expensive area.

I do a similar thing Ian, i say a minimum of 4 weeks, sometimes 4, sometimes 5 & the very odd occasion 6. This way gives a little breathing space but leaves the ability to do 4 weekly when on a roll. ;)
