I'm still on my first one. (Thank god, at £55 a pop).
Had it since April.

It only lasts a day now though, when it used to be fine for 2 days.
In fact I came home a bit earlier today as it went flat, and it was charged last night. :-\

Guess I'd better answer "2" then...

I think it depends a lot on how good your charger is.
I've had to put up with a crappy halfords 5amp job.

The charge level drops to 0 after about 5 hours, but I can't see it's been charged fully by then.
Not sure if that means the batteries knackered, or the charger won't do the job.
I always leave it on for hours after, in case there's something trickling in. ???

I'm not going to bother getting a new battery until I can afford a good charger too.
Might as well get the best out of a new one.

Original renault battery was 6 years old & had been used for wfp for 3 of them when it eventually died. put a cheap 35 quid one on 12 months ago & still going strong. 75psi shurflo pump box run from cig lighter socket.

Funny you should bring this up now. I've had mine for 8 mths now and it looks like its on its way out. (Probs over the last two days) Now need to charge every night, like squeaky used to be every other night.

Would a split relay help in keeping it fully charged and longer life span?

My charger say's it's compatible for the type of battery.

Also they offer a two year warranty when you buy them so if it's not holding it's charge, will or shouldn't they replace it?

We have had our system for nearly 3 years and have never changed our battries.  They are charged from the alternator via a relay.  Recently had to change van and cheapest place we found leisure battries was a caravan supply shop

I use a leisure battery and put it on charge most nights.

My first was 85 a/h, used with old halfords charger and lasted 1 year before losing charge.

18 months ago I bought a 110 amp jobby with a smart charger and it's going strong. Bought a 100psi pump plus varistream at the same time too.
