Leaflet drop response time
« on: January 15, 2008, 04:06:51 pm »
I've just started a leaflet drop of 3000/week for the next 12 weeks, deliveries started on Friday, I'm waiting by the phone but no calls yet. Can anyone advise when they've done such drops, how long before the phone starts ringing?

Hi, we have done several flyer drops & must admit response has been good,  the flyers advertise my partner & myself, he does all maintenance/plumbing etc & I am just advertised at the bottom of the flyer. It dosen't happen over night though people tend to pop them on the side & call you up weeks later, I have had 3 of my 9 jobs through the flyers my partner however has had a better response the other 6 customers have all come from word of mouth, thats the best advertisment you can obviously get.  Stick in there & im sure the phone will keep ringing....Good Luck :)

I had one customer ring me almost six months after I dropped a leaflet through her letterbox, so give it time.

By the way, I was told by a business adviser that the average number of responses per 1,000 leaflets delivered is 6.

Good luck!

These are the quantaties that we want to use.Did you use a company to post leaflets? In my experience if you deliver 1000 leaflets you might get 1 response. That is why huge quantaties have to be sent out on a regular basis.

We hand delivered 1,000 early last summer and we got four responses, three of which led to work. One of the jobs was a one-off spring clean, another is a monthly job and the final one is a weekly job.

It takes a long while to deliver 1,000, but the resulting work made it worthwhile.

myvanwi, we are using a local company called dor2dor. They are charging £36 per thousand and I've signed up with them for the next 6 months.
