Been thinking the same thing myself - and carpet cleaning. Just done an EOT quote and I had to sub-contract the carpet cleaning. I was amazed how much the carpet cleaner quoted and I will be interested to see how long it takes.

As for oven cleaning, I regularly get asked to do it and I turn it down. Am I throwing away easy money?

Most oven cleaners I have spoken to are booked 3-6 months in advance, this is due to repeat customers, as when you clean the oven you rebook it in, so after a while you are always booked.

This is 100% right ,,,,after 6 months you have no need to go out and find work as it comes to you !

How much could you charge for a single oven/ double oven? I wouldnt know where to star with the priceing

... and what equipment would be needed. Any idea on set-up costs for an oven cleaning business?

yes 650 is a bit steep, but taking into account that you could easily do 10 in a week for about 45 quid,  you can easily get that back in a month and easily be in profit in 6 months.

i have found a fabricator that will make those dip tank thing for me, all i need now is a picture or diagrams on how to do it,  and if possible HINT HINT  ;) ;),   the mothod and the chenicals needed

thanx jonny

i started oven cleaning about two months ago ,and nearly didnt bother ,im glad i did it is a perfect  add on ,,im a carpet cleaner myself but have been doing more ovens than carpets over xmas .
got my gear 2nd hand for£250 and charge about £45 for a free stander full works, it can take upto 2 hrs ,some less but it fills up the spare slots nicely and its not as horrible  as it sounds, if a kit could be got for £650 then i reckon it would be well worth it :D ;) :)

Hi,
Just a query. Is this work domestic or is it mostly commercial, ie cafe's etc. I couldn't see folk around here (Fife, Scotland). paying £45 for a clean oven,
Regards,
Ron
