Hi all,

I am hoping to get my 1st commercial contract very soon, going to have a look round on Monday however I have to admit I know nothing regarding how to write up "terms & Conditions" & a contract etc I am only doing Domestics at the moment & have not issued any of them with this info, I have not been asked to provide anything I just give them a cleaning spec of what will be done & when & they seem happy with this, I do not have any staff at the moment but when I decide to expand I realise I will have to have these agreements. Basically where do you find this info from? is it business courses, info from the internet or just common sense?  Do you have to have these T&C's & contracts looked over by a solicitor?, sorry to sound a bit "thick" & waffle on any advice would be greatful.Nat

this may not be very helpful but i have recently started up a cleaning agency and currently have 2 cleaners working for me.

i drew up some basic contracts not long ago, previous to this i cleaned for 2 years wothout one. th reason i decided to go ahead and have contracts is somethings just need to be put down on paper.

i wrote down all the things that i expected form the clients and what they shoudl expect from the cleaners and the service. including termination of contract, insurance details, what the cleaner should and shouldn't do and what the client need s to do!

just go with common sense then if the company takes off get someone 'legal' to look over them for you

These are not worth the paper they are written on, unless its one drawn up by a solicitor. employment law a very trick subject, got that info from a mate who has a large solicitor company.

I agree with Sherco. Get a legal eagle to give everything the once over so you can stitch them up like a kipper
